For Counselling and Psychotherapy
Hello, I’m Joanne Stacey
I’m an integrative psychotherapist and clinical supervisor with over 20 years of experience, working with adults, young adults, and couples in Hertford. I offer a warm, supportive space where you can begin to explore whatever feels difficult, confusing, or overwhelming in your life, at a pace that feels right for you.
My approach is authentic, collaborative, and shaped around you as an individual. As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of approaches so that our work together reflects your needs, your experiences, and what feels most helpful to you.
Over the years, I have worked alongside people facing anxiety, PTSD, depression, and relationship difficulties, to name a few. You might be feeling stuck, lost, or unsure of how to move forward, or perhaps you simply want to understand yourself more deeply. Whatever brings you, you will be met with care, respect, and compassion.
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Integrative Psychotherapy, a postgraduate diploma in supervision, and a certificate in couples counselling. I am a registered member of the BACP and work within their ethical framework.
I feel strongly that therapy should be accessible to everyone. Alongside my private practice, I run a low-cost counselling service at The Healing Room provided by trainee therapists at a reduced fee. I provide close supervision and guidance to ensure that clients receive safe, thoughtful, and compassionate care.
I understand how hard it can be to take the first step. I aim to offer a space where you can feel safe enough to begin and supported as you find your way forward.
If this resonates with you, you’re very welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation.
